Happy Valentines day!

She is so stinking cute!  I know I am biased, but seriously, she is adorable!  We went to Greenville on Monday to drop off some yummy frozen chicken, and while there did some cleaning and fixing up at Grandma and Paw Paw's house.  While there, Sonja came to play, and so we were out back for a bit.  I had to post some pics from our little frolic out back! Granny and Pop Pop came up as well, and the kids and I absolutely loved getting to see them again.  Mom pointed out that we had seen them 3 times within a months span, and that has not happened in a long time.  Something I hope to remedy soon enough!  We love spending time with family!

Cavan getting his head stuck in the seat...
but quickly figured out how to get it out!  Smart kid!

When we got home yesterday, he had a fever, and laid on the couch quite contently, holding a sword in one hand and his new chuggington toy from Uncle David, in the other.  He laid there for a good hour, before the meds finally kicked in.  You can always tell when he is not feeling well, simply because he will sit still.
If you look closely on his right side below, between his legs, you can see his little train.  Poor kiddo!  It is sad to see him not feeling well.  He woke up this morning with a fever again, and was quite irritable for a good bit of the day!  We still had a good Valentine's day.  Clay brought home flowers for me, and a yummy dessert for the kids.  Actually Cavan didn't want any of it, he preferred the Red velvet cupcakes I had made!  See, a smart kid!
 Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!

Visits...

Our nap times are very touch and go since we took Cavan's pacifier back on January 1st.  The door gets shut on occasion to enforce staying in the bedroom.  Gabby takes "quiet time", so she is not expected to sleep, but neither is Cavan really.  So playing is always a given during this time.  I was standing at the door the other day, and peeked in with the camera, and little man looked right at me while he was being a monkey hanging from the top bunk.  I tell ya, I'm running out of ideas to keep him in the room.  All Mommy needs is a hour break, but it seriously is like asking them to stand in a corner for 20 minutes.  Ahhhh!!!
Aunt Ya Ya, Uncle David, Pixie and little Aryanna came to visit us last weekend.  The kids (and us of course) loved, loved, loved having them come.  Everyone was so sad to see them leave!!

Uncle David was given some nice duds from Phil for Christmas, and Cavan had  to wear them.
(That is hot chocolate he is holding as well, just in case you were wondering! =0))

They brought with them, a new video game for Gabby to play, and let me tell you, she loves it!!!!  I had to take pictures of her very focused playing technique.  She is only allowed to play it with Clay when he gets home from work, and only for 30 to 40 minutes.  Addiction to games is not fun to try and overcome (believe me, I know), so we have decided to keep gaming to a minimum!  She will ask for it throughout the day, but the answer is always the same.  Cavan will "pretend" play, not knowing that is what he is doing, but he looses interest very quickly...thank goodness!  Ha ha!!

Here is the awesome table that Dad and Mom came all the way to Chapel Hill, to help me get!!  We love it, and are so grateful that they are always there for us!!!  We love and miss you Pop Pop and Granny!!  Gabby of course, had a blast playing with Anna!!!!

Tonight at Harris Teeter, the kids were begging for balloon, but with the helium shortage, HT doesn't do free balloons anymore, which is such a bummer.  It finally hit me tonight, why not buy a bag of balloons and blow them up ourselves.  So that is what we finally did!  The kids, and Zaidy, loved it!
(I know, it always takes me a bit to figure it out!)
