AAAhhhhhh, oh wait it is just a baby snake...

So I'm sweeping the back porch, because of the mountain of leaves that had piled up!  I have a bunch of boxes from the move that need to go to the trash, however I'm lazy and haven't drug them up front.  I'm sweeping beside one, when I discover a little baby snake!  I immediately scream and race for the door.  I call Clay!  He says to at first leave it be, but then to sweep it off.  Well, I of course, had to look it up to see what it was.  I did take the kids out to see it really quick, and Gabby, running for the door, immediately tells me to just put it in her hands so she could touch it!!!  Ha ha!!  Well, after that I call Mom!  She says to sweep it off as well.  So I get out there, and lo and behold, the poor thing was stuck to the boxing tape.  It was sad.  You could see where it had been pulling itself and having no luck at escaping.  Mind you, we haven't been out there in weeks, so I had no clue how long it had been there.  My Mom said to poor veg oil on it, and then to get it moving so that it could loosen itself.  It was funny watching this little thing rearing up trying to attack the broom.  Well, it didn't work getting him off of it right away, so Mom and Dad said to cut the tape off the box, and hopefully it would be able to get itself off after the oil started to work.  I did that and then put it in the grass.  I couldn't stop thinking about the poor thing, so I called Mom back and asked what else could be done.  She said to maybe poor water on it, and that should help the tape loose it's stickiness.  I get out there and go to pick him up out of the grass, and he has flipped himself over, with the tape side up.  I couldn't get the tape to come out of the grass, and thought maybe it had stuck to some of the leaves.  Well, I look up a few inches, and here is his little head popped up out of this patch of grass looking at me.  He had managed to free most of his body already, so I covered his little head up with the rag I had, and while he pulled away, I got the rest of the tape off of him.  Thankfully he had only lost some of his little scales on the tape, no innards, which I was scared he had done.  Grabbing a tree branch, I ran him to the woods, telling him not to come back!  =0  It was just a little rat snake thankfully!!!

Fenway...

So this was the last time their room was this messy!  After I took it, I could not believe just how bad I had let it get!  Needless to say, it now gets a quick clean-up every night!!!  Cavan of course, is cheesing because they are playing on the ipad, and he thinks they are in trouble.  He is so sneaky!

 Our Lovely Trip to Boston!  Finally I have a few pictures ready to put up!!!  We had so much fun and Katie and Brian were so wonderful!  We did not want to leave!!!  Galina was the Best, and Johnny, well, Johnny needed a little time to warm up to us!  We tortured him way too much, by making him sit with us while Katie went jogging a few mornings.  He did great our first go with him, but after that, he caught on to what was going on, and was not happy until his Mommy came home.  Totally understandable too!  I love little boys.  They just need their Mommy's and it so wonderful!  We went out a bunch to see some sites.  We enjoyed the Minuteman Trail, which has totally stuck with Gabby.  I forgot to bring my camera, so check Katie's FB page to see some!  Gabby though, every time she sees someone in British military garb, we hear about how bad they are...funny kid.  I'm glad to know she was paying attention.

We also went to Fenway!  Clay had mentioned getting pictures there, so Katie and Brian took us into Boston!  It was really fun and a very nice stadium, well outside anyways!

Granny managed to get Cavan duty...a lot.  I think he realized Granny was not messing around, and so he would just go ahead and listen to her.  Wish I could get that kind of respect!

Oh yes I did...

 An oldie, but goody...Cavan enjoying his little farm set and book from Aunt Mi Mi back around his Birthday!!! Thanks Aunt Mi Mi!

Before we moved, we took a fun-filled trip to the Zoo with Grandmaw, Paw Paw, Uncle David, Aunt Ya Ya and Phil!  It was so fun!  I totally forgot to post it back in August!  We had so much fun, but instead of explaining, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

 (It's hard to see, but this is a little purple butterfly that actually landed on my finger, but I wasn't quite fast enough with my camera to get a picture of it on there...so bummed!)

 (He finally fell asleep, but it was of course, right as we were going to the Dinosaur exhibit.  Thankfully he woke up right before we were going to leave it, so we could take him back through to see them.)

 So even though our new place is so tiny, it has really been nice living here.  It is quite and secluded, and the kids love now that we have started taking walks.  That of course is all thanks to Katie and her awesome Military FB page, which got us a free double jogging stroller!!!  Whoo-hoo!!

One of our fun past times has been bath time!  Cavan here is getting a bath courtesy of Dad.  He got his hair cut shortly after that.  Wow, it got long!  Ha!

 Nights have been a little difficult in that Cavan now sleeps on a bottom bunk and is no longer in a tent in his crib.  It has been hard keeping him on it.  Any advice?  

As we were getting up to go to bed one night, around 10:30pm, we got up to find him like this.  He is so sneaky!  We didn't even hear him come out of his room.  This has put us on guard, and we are constantly looking over the edge of the coach to make sure he is still in bed.  Some nights he still attempts it.  I think the next day, during nap time, he had done it again.  Such a silly boy!

 Aunt Ya Ya made the kids day by sending these awesome glow sticks that were a wand for Gabby and a sword for Cavan.  Gabby, unfortunately, managed to break hers open the first night, and spill the lovely glowing goo all over herself and her bed.  Cavan, however, still has his and loves it.  He has slept with it a couple of nights.  Thanks Aunt Ya Ya!!

Time to say Goodbye...

I am always amazed at how time flies.  It feels like just yesterday (August 2004), Katie and I were up here searching for apartments to live together in, so we could finish our lovely degrees at ECU.  Fast forward about 10 months and I'm marrying a wonderful man and starting a life together with him (June 2005).  A few months later, he graduates with his BS (December 2005), then we moved into a new apartment.  Pregnancy came about a year later (Feb 2007), with me graduating as well with my BA (May 2007), and then about 5 months later we move into our first home (September 2007).  We welcomed Gabby in November 2007.  Life really took off then, even though at times it seemed to creep along.  A year after her birth, hubby was looking for a new job, which kept us in Greenville.  That I have to say, was a big surprise.  He had so many interviews in Raleigh, Durham, and even Virginia.  We really thought we would be moving.  Heavenly Father had other plans for us.  It kept us close to family while we welcomed little man Cavan in June 2010.  I know I will always be in awe of how Heavenly Father works in our lives.  Our time here in Greenville has come to an end though.  Clay took a job yesterday in Chapel Hill at UNC, which as many of you know, he is a HUGE UNC basketball fan so I think that is a awesome perk for him.  I am going to miss all of you so much!  I love all of you more than you know and seriously expect to continue to hear from y'all and a visit when you come to Chapel Hill/Raleigh Area!  (Family you already know you are expected to visit and stay in touch, just in case you were wondering =0))!  We have about two, maybe three weeks before we have to be gone, but hopefully sooner as far as our stuff goes, for Ya Ya's sake anyways!  =0)

Lovely July...

 I was craving these...again, at the beginning of the month.  So, I made some!  Yummmmmmm!

 Cavan had some too...these looked especially delicious.

 We totally dressed the kiddos up on the day Spider-man came out, and went to Hardee's to get our free cheeseburgers.  Gabby and Cavan, were absolutely adorable.  The manager said we were the second to come in that day for the deal.  Odd that the lovely city of Greenville did not jump on the opportunity to get a free burger...

 This definitely is digressing a bit, however I forgot to post photos from our 4th of July festivities at Grandmaw's and Paw Paw's.  I did not get all of the pictures up, but these will do for now!  The kids are getting so big.  It's so funny to think that last summer, Cavan was still needing assistance in walking, while this year, we cannot keep him still.  Proof's in the pictures!

 I made a yummy recipe from Bakerella, that was super good for our 4th dessert.

 Once we got inside and all changed, it was time to attack Uncle David.  I mean, he deserved it, right?!  Ha!

 Let the festivities begin.  "Ook!"  Cavan's first sparkler.  He loved it.

 Gabby's first go, did not end very well.  This link below is to a video that is so funny, mainly because of Phil.  He was our fire putter outer, with his red cup of super stealth water.  Needless to say, he was a little anxious to use it...
