Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells...Gabby's favorite song...

We had a wonderful Holiday Season...

starting with Cavan eating his first pizza crust...yum!!!

We went to see Santa, and Gabby was so excited...until she was

2 feet from him...

not so happy then.

Cavan was excited though!!

We opened clothes from Paw Paw and Grandmaw Thursday night...

Gabby loved the blue outfit

and her pink, silver and red sparkly shoes!!

Christmas Eve was fun with family and friends!

Christmas morning started at 7am and went by way too quick!!

We went to Paw Paw and Grandma's for Christmas lunch,

and then ended up taking Cavan to

the night clinic at 6:30, because he had a horrible cough and

was so tired and moody.

Thankfully, he only had a cold, so then we headed down to Granny and

Pop Pop's around

8:30pm, and spent a late Christmas night with them. We enjoyed

opening up gifts from them

and Aunt Katie, Uncle Brian & Galina! We loved all of the

awesome presents.

That night it started to snow, and it kept snowing until Sunday evening...

it was awesome!

We went out Sunday afternoon and played in it. Of course,

Pop Pop, Uncle Johnny and I had a

little more fun, with snow ball fights...of course! =0)

The kids were in the house within 20 minutes...ha ha!!

It was Cavan's first Christmas, which it is so hard to believe

that he is 6 months old now...he'sgetting so big!!

Julia's birthday party was Sunday, and it was fun, as usual!! =0)

I got the opportunity to make Julia's cake, and so I used the cool cake

stand Granny gave me...it came out cute!

The icing was coming off the sides a bit...so Pop Pop put it

in the freezer for a bit,

hilarious!! =0) Gotta love Julia's face in her pictures, so funny!

The day we left, Gabby didn't get up till 9am, which is new for her...

she was so worn out from our Holiday Fun!! =0)

Cavan enjoyed smiling and sitting with Pop Pop too,

and some looks from Ed, the big dog...he is hilarious!! =0)

O sugar cookies divine...

We enjoyed a festive time of decorating sugar cookies.

As you can see, Gabby thoroughly enjoyed the sprinkles!

Yes, those are some Halloween sprinkles in there...I figured why not use all of them up.

Aunt Ya ya was sweet enough to ice them for her.

Gabby attempted several times, to decorate without icing.

So silly!

Cavan hung out and watched!

The nicely sprinkled ones are Aunt Ya ya's, while the packed full of sprinkles are from Gabby

and I. (All I have to say, is I have a new love for sprinkles on my sugar cookies...yummy!)

Of course, someone could not resist a couple of bites here and there...

We finished the batch up a few days later, prior to making gingerbread houses.

Gabby of course, was just as liberal with the sprinkles...gotta lover her!

I was informed at our wic appointment that Cavan can start having a little bit of juice.

He really really liked it....

until the sippy cup just kept letting the juice come out...oops.

Must be time for new cups...=0)!

We had the Fox clan over to do gingerbread houses.

I bought a kit do them, and let's just say, next year we will be doing it the way my Mom does.

Graham crackers are so much easier to work with.

(mine)
(Phil's)

Phil concentrating very hard on his masterpiece...he he!

(Gabby's)

(Clay's)
I got up at 3:30am the night before last to make Cavan a bottle, and remembered that there was a lunar eclipse going on.

So I grabbed my camera and ran outside to take pictures!

How cool is that...never seen one before in person...

it was kind of creepy looking.

Occasional fun...

Grandma, for Gabby's birthday, gave her a set of porcelain princess to paint.

Gabby has asked non-stop to paint them, however I told her she would do so with Grandma.

I gave in today. I let her pick one and she just went to town on Aurora.

My little artist in the making, who is totally left handed. So fun!!!!

According to Gabby it is still not finished, simply because there are some naked spots. It was black in some though.

On another note, Cavan has not enjoyed rice or any kind of baby food so far.

Today, while running errands with Sonja, it occurred to me, that maybe I should try "real" food.

So I put a piece of banana in his little mesh thingy tonight and he enjoyed it thoroughly, and I mean thoroughly. Clay had to use a wipe to clean him and himself up.

Maybe I've found a solution to our eating problems, and I mean, who would've thought. Ha ha!!

Deck the Halls....

We put our Christmas tree up last Sunday evening, and Gabby absolutely loved it this year. She was all about putting the ornaments on the tree herself, many clustered on one or two branches, and she even let me help occasionally. Clay had the easy job of hooking the ornaments, and Cavan sat in his swing cooing and squealing with delight over the tree (or at least that is what we are telling ourselves...=0)).
