Madilyn has arrived!!!!!!!!!! She is beautiful, tiny, petite, sweet, loves to be cuddled and already giggles and smiles in her sleep. That has only been in the first week and a half of her life. I think it is safe to say, we are excited to see how everything unfolds with her little personality.
We went into the hospital on the 5th at 6am, being told we were going to be the first c-section for the day. Well, after about a hour wait, we were told we were going to be bumped by an emergency c-section, which we totally understood. A hour and a half after that, we were told we were being bumped again, for the same reason. Ya think we would be more annoyed, however with in that time, we were able to finally decide on Madi's name. Clay sat diligently searching and calling out names and I kept turning them all down. Finally, after saying it a thousand times over, we decided on Madilyn. It just fit. I had thought, we would see her and then decide, but after 4 hours of waiting, we knew what we needed to name her. My poor parents had Gabby and Cavan for us, and I think 2 hours in, took them back home, since we were not sure how much longer it was going to be. They were so wonderful taking care of our wild children, and even told us they were really good for them. Now having had my parents as parents, I am pretty sure Gab and Cav knew they would be pressing their luck if they were to be little stinkers. It makes me wish my Mom was here to help during nap time. Ay!! After about 2 or 3 hours in recovery, we finally got a room. A very nice room I might add. We had to take pictures of the view, it was Beautiful. There was lots of room as well. There was a couch that turned into a bed, which was great for Clay, and there was space for everyone to move around. Loved it!! I'll talk more about the awesome food in another post. =0)
So here are some of the lovely pictures snapped while in the hospital and a few at home. Gabby fell in love with Madi right away. She kept asking if I was going to stay in the hospital and they take Madi home and let her take care of her. She still wants to be able to hold her all day long. So glad she loves her little Sister. Cavan has been a typical little boy. Not paying her much mind, except every once in awhile he'll ask to hold her and then say awww, and give her lots of kisses on her cheek and head and then play tickle tickle with her. Then he'll give her back and run off to play. Today, he actually brought her 4 little trucks while she was nursing, and put them right on her side. When I asked him if he wanted them back, he said "nah"! I could just smother them both with kisses!
