My Birthday weekend...still can't believe I've hit the big 32!!

For my birthday this year, we decided to get away and go to...

it's very exotic and just paradise...to some...

but to the amazing...NC Zoo!!!
Yes. It. Was. Cold. Really though,

it was a lot of fun. I love making memories with our

little family!

This picture below, has to be my favorite from the whole trip!

I wish I had been able to get more of Gabby in it.

This Gorilla was so funny, in that she came

and took the place of another that was sitting with

her back to Gabby. She kept picking at the grass next

to the glass and finally looked up and right at Gabby.

So sweet! Gabby of course, had no clue what to think.

A picture on the bridge as you enter the park.

It was still a little icy, ha! They had sections roped off

that still had too much ice on them. It was

so cool!!

I stuck this one in. Gabby wanted Princess hair.

This is what Daddy gave her...ha ha!!

These elk slowly made their way towards us, which was so cool

to see!

Cavan was eating a pizza crust during our little lunch break.

My face is a little spastic because he had eventually

gotten all of it in his mouth. Oops! (Gotta love

those ears!!!)
Gabby doing what she wants to so desperately do...drive...

and with her animal friends!
Cavan attempting to see out. I kept him bundled and covered

which made it difficult for him to enjoy too much. He'll

love it when he is older.
We came across this squirrel in a very big hurry

digging for something. We stopped to watch, and sure

enough, he pops out with a nut and runs off.

He really knew where his nut was...ha ha!!

The big old man would not turn around and look at us.

Eventually he got up and walked away...grumpy. He

sure did have some back fat/muscle!

This guy is the head of this pack of Chimps. He is old too,

born in 1971. One of his ladies, is a older gal, having been

born in good old 1969! Older women are definitely

keepers, right honey?!!

As we were walking away from the lions, this guy let out a

roar that was almost surreal. It was so loud,

the bummer part was we didn't get to see him do it.

I wish I had a audio recording, it was ca-razy!
So my weekend was amazing. Thank you Clay and my kids who made it so!

I had a birthday bash at the Fox

home and then at the Kokinda Home Monday and

Tuesday after!

Thanks to all of you present in person and present in Spirit, love y'all!!

First....

I had to post this...out of excitement! Cavan started right after

Christmas, rolling from belly to back and that was all.

On Sunday, my birthday, he started reaching for things

that were too far from him while on his back.

That night, he started the rolling. It was awesome,

and truthfully only out of necessity. =0)

A pretty awesome birthday present.

Post to come on my wonderful Birthday weekend!! =0)

Look what I can do Ma....=0)

So these videos were taken back in December, however, trouble

with Blogger has kept me from getting them on here.

We're still working on rolling, it comes and goes when

he wants to actually do it. Sitting up has been something

we've been working on now. He likes to try, however he

always ends up on his side or stomach...so funny to watch.

Gabby was standing and sitting from birth, so I never

worried about it much with her. Rolling was the only

thing I ever had to work on with her. Cavan has preferred

laying down on his back...ha ha! When trying

to sit him up, he would turn to the side and stick his

legs out straight and jut himself down to the ground.

Every kid, really is so different!!!!!!!!

On a side note, we spent our New Year's for the first time

time in our married lives, here at our house!

Kids were in bed by 9pm, but Clay and I,

stayed up and played games till the ball dropped!

Very relaxing I guess you could say. I love

spending it with extended family, however it wasn't so bad

spending it with my honey!! =0) For dinner,

he picked what we had, and this lovely concoction is what we had...

baked Spaghetti...delicious...very....delicious!!!!

Snowball fight...

We had quite a winter wonderland when we came home from

Granny and Pop Pop's after Christmas. Greenville got

around 8 to 9 inches

of snow, which was awesome. We invited Aunt Ya ya down,

for some fun in the snow. Gabby lasted about 15 minutes.

Clay and I, enjoyed some snow ball fighting and while I was

making a snow angel, he tackled me and, as you can see in the

second collage, I was covered with snow. I got him pretty

good too, if ya look at his glasses! ha ha! Fun stuff. I couldn't

help tossing a snowball at Gabby,

which you can see the remnants of in the top

left-hand corner of the 1st collage! Poor kid!!

After that fun in the snow, Gabby didn't really want to go out again.

She would look out the window and tell us there was snow,

but never asked to play in it.

Silly kid!
