I cannot believe it has been over 3 weeks since I last blogged. I do try to keep this up weekly, but time sure did get by me during April. We have done so much and had so much fun, it has really been a wonderful Spring so far. Aside from the crazy Tornado storms that have come through, we have had gorgeous weather and enjoyed time with family and friends. Bare with me with all of the pictures, I did weed through a gazillion and posted a few from our activities!
To start off, we went to a fun activity at the very beginning of the month at the Convention Center in town. It was free, thankfully, and we were able to go with our awesome buddies Dianne and Scarlett!! Gabby really really enjoyed herself, it took some bribing to get her to leave...but "what can ya do?" - =0)!!

We decided to go to a park one afternoon and let Gabby play, and I decided to try my hand at some afternoon photos. Unfortunately, we were a little too late, and the sun had gone down quite a bit by the time we got around to snapping some pictures.

A few days after that we were out enjoying the warm weather and gorgeous sun, and put Cavan in his walker outside. He kept this cap on for a bunch of pictures, but when he realized it was on, off it went!

At one point, I had my back to Gabby while I was sweeping or something, and all of a sudden she lets out a squeal and yells
"a worm bit me!". I turned around to see her standing closer to the pavement, and in the grass, was this...

a baby garter snake. At the time, I couldn't tell what it was, so after I snapped a couple of pictures, we went in and called
Daddy...and then Paw Paw...and then Granny...=0)!!!This picture of Gabby, is during a movie that she became obsessed with, for lack of a better word. "The Nightmare before Christmas". It scares her, it makes her laugh, but most of all it scares her. Oddly enough, she loves it. She'll sing
"Jack is back" and "
What is this?", at least during the week she took of watching it twice a day. This is how she sat during the part with "
oogie boogie" and his song. She didn't like him at all!!

We finally made it down to Granny and Pop Pops, and got to enjoy watching Jason play baseball...

and Julia play soccer. They both are
awesome to watch!!

We also were able to be at Granny and Pop Pops to celebrate both of their birthdays. Granny's was postponed and then we celebrated them together, the weekend before Pop Pop's. Love their expressions!!! =0)

Mom thought it'd be cute to put 118, 59 + 59. They'll always be 52 in my mind though. Everyone kind of reaches an age that they stay at forever. I remember my Gram turning 72, and until the day she passed away, that was how old she was to me. I think she passed away in her 80s.

While we were in Maple Hill, Clay was off in Washington D.C. for a conference for his job. While there, he was able to do a lot of sight seeing. He sent me a text with a picture of....
"D.C. Cupcakes" store. Then proceeded to get me a 1/2 dozen of them. They were so
yummy, cookies and cream had to be our absolute favorite!! Anyone know a recipe??

One night, as I was letting Zaidy out, I noticed how bright and round the moon was...so pretty!!

On the 21st, someone hit 10 Months...........................19 lbs, 26 inches and growing...............!!!!!!

My awesome friend Bernice asked me to make a cake for her wonderful beau, and I wrote down the wrong day on my calendar to have it ready...well, at the time she told me she'd pick it up, she came, and I hadn't even baked the cake. I wanted to cry and scream at myself for doing that, however thankfully, she let me make it for her and get it to her later that evening. =0) I had to have Sonja come down, and she was amazing and calm and helped me get the cake ready. Thanks Sonja for being so willing to help me out and thanks Bernice for letting me make your cake and being so sweet and awesome with all of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad you guys had a wonderful weekend too!!!!!!!

The day after Cavan turned 10 months, he started to
....CRAWL!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He hasn't stopped yet, he is all over and always appears to be on a mission, and if he doesn't get what he wants, he lets out these squeals and grunts and growls. It is hilarious!!!

My rose bush decided to explode this year, and it smells so good!!!! These roses are huge too!! My poor rose bush in the front yard, bloomed just one little white rose. It's location is not a good one, but it is growing slowly!!! Haha!!

I, of course, have to blog about our Easter! We started out Saturday night, dying eggs with Aunt Ya ya at Grandmaw's and Paw Paw's!

We put out Gabby's Easter basket Easter morning, and at 7:20 am, we hear
thump, thump, thump as Gabby comes running into our room exclaiming, "He came, he came, he really came, and he brought me candy. The Easter bunny came!!" We, of course, had to get up and go out into the living room and check out her spoils. She enjoyed eating candy for breakfast and even lunch. One thing I remember from Easter morning growing up, candy and egg salad.
Yummmmmmm!!!

Cavan had no clue what was going on, he just smiled and crawled and was just his usual self
...cute!!!!

Crawling around with big Sis!!!

Enjoying the search...it has begun!! Let's just say, there were 40 eggs to find... it became a long morning. At one point, Gabby said, "I'm tired, I need to rest!" Ha ha!!! She is such a character some times!!!

The very last egg, Paw Paw hid in a bush, and when Gabby pulled it out, it has this on it. Gabby ran around with it, and I kept after her not to squish her fingers together. Finally I got her over to a bush and got the little guy off. Gabby loved having the little snail/slug (not sure which) on her finger. It crawled/slithered all over her hand...I was very surprised that she didn't flick it off immediately!

We got home and got ready for Church. Gabby was gorgeous in her dress and Cavan was so handsome! Outfits courtesy of Grandmaw and Paw Paw! Not sure why Gabby wouldn't smile, but she sure looks like her Daddy when he chooses to not give me a toothy smile.

Monday morning, we rushed down to Maple Hill, so we could see my Dad's Sisters, Aunt Linda, Aunt Sheila and Aunt Gee Gee!! They are so awesome in coming down and spending Easter weekend with Pop Pop and Granny and the rest of the fam!!! We enjoyed seeing them for the few hours they were there before heading home!

More to come...maybe in another month...maybe not...!!!!! =0)
