Much ado about nothing...

These little cuties sure do take up a lot of time!  I just wanted to post some journaling updates, just so I can keep it all straight in the future...hopefully!  First, Gabriella has gone up in her reading.  She came home reading at a level B on Tuesday, YAAAAAYYYYY!!  The school wants them at a C by the time they move onto 1st!  Clay and I were so ecstatic for her, we decided to give her the movie Frozen, which we had bought to do a family night Friday, but decided it could be her prize!  I know, I know...

We are so proud of how quickly she is catching on, well, apparently she is behind, because kindergarten is the new first grade...so dumb.  At least she is smart enough to figure it out!

She has lost her two bottom, middle teeth, and now the top right tooth is all wiggly!  She loves jiggling it, but hasn't quite let Clay pull it out!!  It hangs lower than the others!  It's pretty funny to look at it!  She had some weird finger bacteria and had to go on antibiotics!  Her and Cavan had strep a month or so ago, which was horrible!  Thankfully all of that has cleared up!  She usually brings home the fun icky stuff from school, and we are learning quite quickly that if she has something, the rest of us will have it in a few days!  So fun!!!

Cavan is talking so much more, and he loves to tell us who he is!!!  The best part of February was when he started to tell people his name, not just "me"!  He still has some sounds he cannot quite pronounce, but Mae is working so wonderfully with him!

Thomas is his obession!  It can be 70 degrees out and he wants to wear his Thomas boots and hoodie, with it zipped and hood up!  So cute!!!!  He can count to 10, almost all by himself.  If not, he usually starts over at 1 when he gets to 3,  but he can say them!  Ha!

He can pick up Madi, even though he has face planted her a few times, and then tell me he is "Strong"!  He loves competing with Gabby, over everything, and I mean everything!  The tables have turned though, in that now Cavan crawls up into Gabby's bed rather than her sneaking into his!  Reminds me of when I used to make Katie come sleep in my room just so I wouldn't be by myself, and I'd hide in the corner until Mom and Dad went to bed!!  =0)

Madilyn has had a rough couple of months!  Aside from being sick over the Holidays with all of us, we found out about three weeks ago she had a UTI.  Since she is so young, they had to do an ultrasound on her kidneys and bladder, which she came out of with flying colors, no problems at all!  She was cleared yesterday of the UTI!!!

She weened herself from nursing, about two weeks ago, which was bittersweet!  My only baby that hung onto breastfeeding for 11 months and five days...very hard to give up!  The first time she bit me though, really made me think otherwise...ha! She is doing a bottle just fine now, in fact she leaps for it in the morning!  When we took her to her appointment yesterday, the doc said she had a herniated belly button on top of everything!  Thankfully that will be fine and go away on its own!!!  This poor baby has had more health scares in her whole 11 months than Gabby and Cavan combined!

She loves her Daddy now, and will even lunge for him!  He can giver her a bottle too, so she is okay with that!  She loves to eat everything and tries anything!  We are still working on sleeping through the night!!  Going on night two of letting her figure it out on her own!!!  She did put herself back to sleep quickly sometime early this morning, but that was the only time out of the 5 or 6 times she woke up...ay!

Watching them grow is so much fun!!

So fun to watch them grow! Sad that you all have been hit pretty hard with the sicknesses this winter. Thank goodness Summer is on its way!! Here's to hoping that Madi gets the message that sleep is wonderful!
