I thought maybe y'all might get a kick out of these pictures of the sunflowers that had been growing in our front yard and some others of our garden. Sonja had given them to us back in the spring and had even helped me plant them. Well, actually she planted them while I watched her. =0) Thanks Sonja! He he!! Two of them were massive and I finally tore them down tonight. Clay hadn't seen them so I brought them in for him to see and he was amazed. =0) I'm saving a ton of the seeds if anyone wants any!!! The first is next to my hand.
This is one of the sunflowers left out back. I have trimmed that plant way down and so now it only blooms these tiny little flowers.
I had to save these poor flowers which I had planted too close to the sunflowers and it's fellow pink flowers. They bloomed after I put them in their own pot and it's sister flowers starting blooming more often with more room in the garden. =0)
Here is our little friend the garden spider. He set his web up in the oddest place. On the end of the trailor where there were absolutely no flowers or bugs. Unfortunately the next day after I took this photo the lawn was mowed and we didn't see him again. He was cool while he was there!!

Beautiful garden! So you and John are the one's with green thumbs!! Aunt Sheila would be proud :) I'll bet the garden spider is just biding his time until he can make a new web, or he could've taken the hint...I hate jumping spiders, they may be the one that falls on my 'okay to kill' list! (or at least vaccum up, if you can catch them...) At least the big one was outside! Love you!
Emily, your flowers are beautiful!! I can't wait for our Texas heat to go away and I can start planting seeds for Spring. I will plant some roses, and then some Texas wild flowers, so they last me all year! Gorgeous photos!!
